  1. We need to wash clothes to remove dirty & sweat with clean water & soap.
  2. We must also take care that all the soap or detergent in the clothes is washed out completely. Otherwise the clothes turn yellowish after ironing.
  3. Bleeching & soaking in indigo powder, commonly known as neel, and then dried in the sun. sometimes they should be bleeched.
  4. Iron clothes after dried,then makes a person look tidy and smart.
  5. Silk and Woollen clothes need gentle washing and dry cleaning.

  1. Rat, insects, silverfish and moths harm clothes.
  2. Clothes need good care, especially silk and woollen clothes because certain insects feed on silk and wool.
  3. Woollen and silk clothes should be dried completely in sun before storing.
  4. Keep mothballs or dried neem leaves between the folds of woollen clothes. These keeps insects away.

  • During rainy weather, we wear rain coats made of water proof material to protects us from rain.
